Hey there! I’m Bill, and welcome to Project Billd!

I make and do all kinds of stuff. This is where I show you how and give you all the information you need to be able to recreate things for yourself (and avoid my mistakes)!

I’m primarily focused on woodworking and DIY but I’ll never limit where my imagination takes me, and the possible projects it will lead me to.

Meet the Team

Bill (3).jpg

Bill - aka Bill

Before Project Billd, Bill worked as a data scientist. It didn’t take long before he realized that sitting behind a desk and working for someone else wasn't for everyone, certainly not for him! He decided to walk away from the comfort of an office job to explore his real passion of making things and helping others by creating content that others can learn from! (hopefully)

Bill wears many hats. In addition to being the creator of Project Billd, he is also the lead maker, designer, 3d modeler, website developer, coder, cameraman, video editor, blog writer, marketer, and errand boy (let's not forget that one); just to name a few.

Bill enjoys making things, being around friends and family, helping others, music that he can bob his head to, and not taking himself seriously.

Brady (2).jpg

Mrs. Billd - aka Brady

Meet the woman behind the large child masquerading as a man. Brady is the cornerstone of Project Billd, providing the support and encouragement that Bill needs to make his crazy dreams a reality. You'll occasionally see her making a guest appearance in videos and other projects but let it be known that her lack of visibility in no way correlates with her importance!

Brady likes hanging out with her dogs, reading, crafting, and amusingly shaking her head as Bill explains his latest idea.

The Platypus (2).png

The Platypus - aka Unknown

The Platypus has been through the desert by itself. It felt good to be out of the rain. In the desert, it can't remember its name, ‘cause ain't no one gave it one… yet.

The Platypus doesn’t really put in much effort but it’s happy to put its face on everything and take the credit.

FAQ

What kind of content do you make?

I create how-to videos for the things I make and the the things I do. Sometimes it’s the things I need to do, like fixing the broken things on Brady’s and my rickety house but often it’s just making something I was inspired to do. The videos should be viewed as a guide and not as rules. There are tons of different ways to approach any project and every situation is different; the specific way I did something probably won’t work just right for you! Hopefully my work will help you get started on figuring out how to adapt what I’ve done to work for you.

I try to make my videos as concise as I can while still keeping them informative and entertaining; no filler! (except wood of course)

Do you have plans available for the things you make?

Yes! And they are FREE for anyone to download and use to replicate my work. The dimension diagrams I provide are intended to supplement the instruction in my videos and allow you to replicate my work. They can be downloaded directly from the webpage for the corresponding project. I’d like to always keep these free so, if you enjoy them please consider supporting my work by donating to Project Billd and be sure to share my content with others who might enjoy it.

Do you have sponsors?

I’m not opposed to having sponsors but I’d have to feel strongly about a product to put my name behind it (Billders, I’m counting on you all to check me on this). I feel that people already own way too much stuff they don’t actually use or need (Brady and I have been dealing with our excess stuff recently), so I don’t have interest in selling you things that I don’t personally find useful. My content is an expression of my interests and personality and I would like to keep it that way.

If you are interested in being a sponsor AND think you fall into the criteria mentioned above reach out to me via my contact page.
